Privacy Policy

• Account information: email address, username, display name, bio and profile photo. Everything except your email is optional.
• Content you create: photos you capture or upload, any caption or feeling you add, the date and time it was captured, the place (name, address, coordinates) you tag it to, and its visibility. New memories are shared with your friends by default, and you can set any memory to only me.
• Location data: with your permission, we use your device's precise or approximate location to tag memories to real places and to centre the map. We don't track your location in the background.
• Social data: your friends list, sent and received friend requests, and any accounts you block.
• Device data: a push-notification token and your platform (iOS or Android), so we can deliver the notifications you've turned on, like friend requests and reactions.
• Authentication data: your password is stored only in hashed form and is never stored or sent in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier instead of a password.

We use your information to run Addy's core features: showing your memories on a map, sharing memories with your friends, sending the notifications you've turned on, and keeping your account secure. We don't sell your personal information and don't use it for third-party advertising.

We use these providers to operate Addy. Each one only receives the data it needs to do its job.

• Cloudinary stores and serves your uploaded photos.
• Goong Maps provides map tiles, place search and location lookups.
• Google Sign-In is an optional way to sign in.
• Expo delivers push notifications.
• Railway hosts our backend servers and database.

If you leave your email in the “Notify me” form, we use it only to tell you when Addy launches in the app stores. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual memories at any time in the app.

You can permanently delete your account and everything tied to it (profile, memories, photos, friend connections and notification tokens) from Profile → Delete account. This is immediate and can't be undone. You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing addy.teamoperating@gmail.com.

Addy isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page.
