Terms of Use

These terms are the rules for using Addy. We kept them short and plain, so please give them a read.
The short version
- Your memories are yours. We only use them to run Addy.
- Be kind: no harassment, spam, or sharing other people's private stuff.
- Addy is still in testing, so things may change or break.
1Using Addy
You need to be at least 13 to use Addy. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details safe, so let us know right away if you think someone else is using it.
2Addy is in testing
Addy is currently in internal testing and isn't listed on the App Store or Google Play yet. Features may change, break or be paused while we build it. We'll do our best to give notice before anything big changes.
3Your content
Your photos, captions and memories stay yours. By posting them, you let us store, process and show them to the people you share them with, only so we can run Addy.
New memories are shared with your friends by default. You can switch any memory to only me at any time, and you're responsible for what you choose to share.
4Be kind
When you use Addy, please don't:
- post content that's sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise inappropriate;
- spam people or create fake accounts;
- harass, bully or threaten anyone;
- share someone else's photos, location or personal details without their permission;
- post anything illegal, or that you don't have the right to share;
- try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the app or its servers.
5Reporting & blocking
You can report a memory, a person or a message from inside the app, and block anyone you don't want to hear from. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.
6Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other people at risk.
7Third-party services
Addy relies on services such as Goong Maps, Google Sign-In and Expo. Your use of those parts of the app may also be subject to their own terms. Our Privacy Policy explains what data each one receives.
8No guarantees
Addy is provided “as is”, especially while it's in testing. We can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses that come from using it.
9Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Addy grows. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using Addy after that, you accept the new terms.
